For all of us on the southern hemisphere it’s already WINTER! This obviously means cozy afternoon naps by a crackling fire, soft & snuggly clothes, hot soups and warm tea.
We’re so hyped about these winter vibes we thought it’d be a great idea to share our dream winter destinations. These range from secluded lodges in Finland to walking through Salzburg’s streets. Exciting right?
1. SCANDINAVIA: NORTHERN LIGHTS, THERMAL POOLS AND NATURE
Although the temperatures may be too low for some, the northern lights, only viewable during winter months, make it 100% worth it. The chances to see them are higher in Iceland, northern Norway, Finland and some specific sites in Sweden (like Abisko) from September to March.

There are quite a few ways in which one can experience this life-changing, magical encounter. One we think is just fantastic, is staying in lodges in the middle of the remote Scandinavian nature.
For instance, the KAKSLAUTTANEN ARCTIC RESORT in Finland seems like the ideal choice!
If you’re visiting Iceland you may also experience lots of other raw natural wonders such as swimming in the geo-thermal pools or the Blue Lagoon, visiting the ice caves and glaciers, the hot spring Geysir or the Gullfoss waterfall. There are really so so many sites and activities. If you’re looking for a unique and mind-blowing encounter with nature, this is your best shot!
